Library of Congress record: Created 1861 Title devised by Library staff. Typed on negative sleeve: Bernard B. Graves joined the Hanover Artillery May 22 1861. In Oct. 1862 he was transferred to the Amherst Artillery and fought with it the remainder of the war a part of the time as a corporal. He was captured near Waynesboro Va.
