Corning Fountain, designed by sculptor J. Massey Rhind, was given to the city of Hartford, Connecticut, by John J. Corning, founder of Corning Glass Works, in memory of his father, John Benton Corning (1811-1896). Gift; Herbert A. French; 1947.
