Fernald, 1860. Image in engraving is similar, but not identical to the daguerreotype and is not labelled as a Brady image. In documentation that came with the daguerreotype it was identified as Elisha H. Allen of Ohio (cat. 5) but this identification seems less likely. Scratched on back of plate: 293.
