Caption from caption list: Congressman Martin L Davey, of Ohio, the only one of his profession in Congress, Mr Davey is a tree surgeon and ten years ago before he ever thought of coming to Congress he received a contract to treat some of the more important trees in the Capitol Grounds. Among these was the famous Washington Elm under which George Washington is said to have usually eaten his lunch while the Capitol was under construction.
