Hirka-yi Serif Camii, or the Mosque of the Holy Mantle, was built by Sultan Abdul Mecit I to house the second of the two mantles of the Prophet. In album: Yildiz and Topkapi palaces, tombs and Selamlik procession, Istanbul, Ottoman Empire. Abdul-Hamid II Collection (Library of Congress). Albumen prints 1880-1900.
